MY STORY PART 15: E DEY PAIN ME

By Grandpa
You know how you meet someone in a predicament that suddenly reminds you of how you had that same predicament at some point?. That sudden memory jolt, like fresh pain from dipping your hand inside hot palm oil?. Ehen, I felt that pain now now.
I met Mr Alex (not real name) and he told me how my beloved bank let him go unceremoniously after using him for over 30 years. He told me how he had been childless for 25 years and his wife just put to bed after 25 years and management was aware and management still went ahead to sack him at a time he needed the job most. He said it pained him more because he was the one always bringing innovative ideas to his department and he had just submitted one idea that was even being reviewed.

That last part reminded me of how that unholy department treated me.
I had looked at the Bank’s customer base and realised the concentration of old customers was more than 80 percent. He in turn sent it to a relative who was working at the head office. We began to wait for feed back, wusai!. Like play like play, our six packs turned to round stomach, yet oga did not give us any feed back.
One afternoon, the bank rolled out a product called “Explore first account”. I read it and I was seeing my writing verbatim. Ah, I didnt know my spirit now worked in head office. How did it leave my body to go and be working in Lagos while I was still in Aba, because this was my writing.
To be sure it wasnt a dream, I called my friend Michael and asked him “guy , does this not look like the product paper we wrote ?” And omo boy replied “No, it doesnt look like it, IS IT THE PRODUCT PAPER YOU DESIGNED?”.
To cut long story short, oga that we asked to help us review the thing kuku submit the thing, short changed us, got promoted and we felt very bad. Not even an acknowledgment.
One would say the bank did not directly short change us. I wont even join issues with such person, because doing so will eventually make me start talking about some secrets here , including the ones I will use to sue the bank later. Yes, did they think I am a lawyer for nothing ?. Nonsense and Ingredient
