In a video recently released which is fast going viral patrons of a hotel purportedly located in Ogun state have discovered hidden cameras in various locations in different rooms within the hotel. It all happened within the same hotel. In the video unidentified men are seen to be challenging men who appear to be in charge of managing the property. The aggrieved claim to be hotel guests who had been patronizing the hotel for some days.
Trouble broke out when one of the hotel guests was alerted to a hole in the indoor unit of one of the Air Conditioning units. His curiosity got the better of him and he went further to investigate the hole. Upon investigation he observed the hole was unusual. This caused him to uncover the indoor unit only to pull out a tiny camera with lengthy power cable that extended hundreds of meters into the wall.
The man lamented that the camera had been videoing nudity for days and that himself, his mother, his brother and uncle were all victims.
Two things are unclear, first even though the author of the video made an attempt to go outside and identify the hotel using its sign board the name was never mentioned in the video. Secondly, though the other language being spoken was Yoruba it is still not clear which part of Nigeria the hotel is located. One Instagram post went ahead to identify the location as Pavilion Hotel and Suites Aiyepe Ijebu Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State
This video expose has created a lot of concern amongst hotel pleasure seekers and patrons of leisure guest houses. Many are being warned to be very careful because they claim the act of planting cameras in hotel rooms is rampant amongst hoteliers. The video authors are seen emphasizing that those of us who patronize hotels to be weary of such antecedents.
